SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTORS
Photographers interested to make a submission to www.worldreligions.co.uk should study the images on the website. Observe where there are gaps in the collection before making a tight edit of your material as only first class photos will be accepted. This also applies to our other website www.copix.co.uk stocking travel and lifestyles of developing nations.
We only accept digital scans which must have the data filled in under File Info in Photoshop. Tiffs must be scanned to a minimum of 50 megabytes and be placed in a folder marked Tiffs/Subject Name. Jpegs should be separate and sized at 600 widest side being roughly 72-100 dpi. Every tiff and jpeg must have a code and a caption. Images which do not carry a caption will be rejected. Supply extra information including keywords in a document/print-out. Accurate spelling is essential.
Initial submissions should be jpegs only which can be sent by email in batches of six. We need to see 24 to assess whether or not they are suitable.
If images meet our criteria, we will send the contract for perusal before proceeding with the agreement which must be signed by both parties. Part of the contract requires a commitment from you to submit at least 200 images per annum.
If your jpeg images are selected please follow up with a CD of the tiffs of at least 3000 by 2000 pixels dimension scanned to 50 megabytes as above.
Please do not email excessive numbers of jpegs and always put jpegs and tiffs in separate folders on a CD. Print the name of the religion or subject on the CD with your own name and address. Do not mix up religions on one CD. We cannot catalogue correctly and will discard any which do not meet our requirements.
Images in demand cover all the major faiths notably the rites of passage, religious festivals and historic and sacred sites. We do not just want pictures of churches and temples but peoples practising their chosen religion or belief.
We are especially interested in obtaining images of from the United States and South America and places of pilgrimage worldwide.
